Hocking Hills Backwoods Retreat Policies 

Possession of any illegal substance prohibited
Renter shall not sublet his/her contract
No smoking inside cabin
No refunds will be made in unforeseen circumstances pertaining to acts of God
 

Minimum Stay Requirements

Weekend stays require both Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday nights. During the week (Monday-Thursday) requires a two night minimum stay. If requesting a Thursday-Friday or Sunday-Monday weekend stay, both nights will be charged at the weekend rate. A three night minimum will be required on holiday weekends.

Minimum Age

You must be 21 years of age or have a parent or guardian staying in the cabin with you, in order to rent a cabin.

Damages

We reserve the right to charge your credit card for any damages or excessive cleaning from your stay. If you notice any problems upon checking in, please let us know right away to avoid any damages being charged to your account.

Amenities

Occasionally appliances, hot tub, fireplaces, etc. can malfunction. We will service and restore these amenities as quickly as we can, but will not make any rental concession for time without these items. Likewise, loss of electricity, water, or other "Acts of God" that are outside of our control will not result in a refund of any monies paid. Due to cleaning and servicing, the hot tub is sometimes not up to full temperature at the time of check in and may need several hours to heat. Please abide by the hot tub procedures, rules, and precautions. We ask that you follow all guidelines and policies regarding use of amenities in order to keep them functioning at peak efficiency. Failure to do so may result in damage or excessive cleaning charges.

Bugs

Please be aware that you are coming to stay in the middle of the woods. While we have our cabins treated on a regular basis, it is likely that you will see bugs during your stay. We are not able to refund your reservation if you see bugs or spiders during your stay.

Holidays

Holidays are charged at the Holiday rate, and usually have minimum stay requirements (call for exact dates). Holiday weekends always have a three day minimum stay requirement.

Payment

Visa and Master Card are accepted.
Full payment is required at time of reservation.
A lodging tax may be added to the rental rates if your cabin is located in a county that requires a lodging tax.

Cancellations

Cancellations made prior to 14 days before your arrival will receive a full refund less a $25 processing fee
3 days to 14 days before arrival: 50% refund.
Less than 3 days or No Shows: No refund.
There is no refund for early departure or for inclement weather.

Check-In

Check-In is 3:00pm at the Retreat. We will work diligently to have your cabin ready for you right at 3:00pm, but there are rare occasions when additional cleaning may be required or when your hot tub may not be fully heated until later that night. There is no refund in these situations.

Check-Out

Check-Out is by 11:00 am at the Retreat. Simply wash and put away dishes, place all trash in outdoor receptacles, secure the cabin and return key to lock box before you leave. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate late check outs. Check-in and check-out times are strictly enforced so that we can make sure that each cabin is ready for our guests.

Occupancy

All of our rates are based on two-person occupancy, additional guest, are $15 per night. Please limit the number of guests to the maximum occupancy of the cabin and to the number of guests included in your reservation. We do not allow additional visitors. You will be charged for any additional guests.

No Smoking

Smoking is not allowed inside the cabin. Smoking in the cabin will result in a $100 charge.

Pets

NO PETS AT ANY CABIN

Ponds

Ponds are for catch and release fishing only. No swimming is allowed. Not responsible for any accidents related to falling into the pond.

Accidents

Guests agree to hold Hocking Hills Backwoods Retreat and it's owners unaccountable for any accidents, personal injury, loss, or damage to guests personal property during the guests stay.
No refunds will be made in the event a person is required to vacate the premises because of disruptive conduct or failure to follow our rental guidelines and policies.
Management reserves the right to refuse any reservations.
